Female Leadership Safari

Are you using your female leadership skills? Do they fit within your working environment? And what about Europe’s leadership? This one-day training is a kick-start if you want to step up and be more confident in your own leadership style as an EU professional. In short: what is this training about?

The aim of the Female Leadership Safari is to give female EU professionals better insight into their own personal leadership style as well as the role of female leadership in a changing European dimension. Through role models and an EU affairs case participants will be inspired and gain confidence to firmly build on their leadership (potential). As a result, participants will be more effective in their work as they will be able to lead projects and teams with more authenticity. An additional 1-on-1 follow-up session allows for personal coaching on a leadership challenge in your workplace.

Irene Janssen is a trainer and coach with a talent to connect people within and across organisations in order to work toward a common goal. Succesvol burgerinitiatief? Zet deze 10 leiderschapskwaliteiten in!

Op 16 september 2015 was de Landelijke Vereniging Kleine Kernen (LVKK) te gast bij de HAN Hogeschool in Nijmegen. In een workshop die begeleid werd door Irene Janssen deelden experts en ervaringsdeskundigen hun ervaringen en inzichten over wat werkt en wat niet werkt om een burgerinitiatief te doen slagen.

Sprekende voorbeelden uit de praktijk lieten zien hoe er vaak een goede mix van kwaliteiten nodig is om een burgerinitiatief te doen slagen. In een initiatief rondom duurzame energie in de buurt bleek bijvoorbeeld dat het netwerk en de kennis van de lokale dakdekker de sleutel was tot het samenbrengen van mensen die mee wilden doen. Ben van Essen, voorzitter Commissie Internationale Orientatie LVKK: “Het is vaak een kwestie van het enthousiasmeren van een paar mensen, wie zijn je eerst volgers?”

Het succes van ieder nieuw initiatief hangt dus vaak af van enkele enthousiastelingen die ergens de schouders onder zetten en doorzetten. Maar welke kwaliteiten van betrokkenen zorgen voor het slagen van een burgerinitiatief?
